ShowTime Solution: Zoos
We're all about creating dynamic shows by mixing lights, music and
motion of almost anything and everything.
The good old days of having static displays are long gone. Today's
society expects to be entertained no matter what the venue.
Light-O-Rama is here to help.
Zoos are ideal family environments but
the challenge is how to get the guests coming back all year round. The
new trend is creating temporary lighting events that promote special
occasions at the venue. Many zoos create a theme and then tell a story
where lights and sound on various displays come alive at appropriate times
to provide a truly engaging atmosphere for the young and old. Using
Light-O-Rama controllers allow the zoo to easily change the story and the
display throughout the year keeping the guests constantly coming back for
more while also creating great word-of-mouth advertising.
Commercial installations
in zoos or similar environments demand reliability and safety certification
not only for the public but the animals.
Light-O-Rama Showtime Pro products are built in industrial duty metal
enclosures, designed to work to -40 degrees F and UL 508 certified for
safety.
The key to your success is Light-O-Rama versatility. By
mixing and matching our different hardware and software. All of our
various controllers can be accessed over a common data network via central
control. As your needs grow, just add more controllers. Start by
checking out some typical setups and then
watch some videos to be inspired.

Zoo Experience
Zoos are the perfect venue for seasonal light
shows. By providing a family friendly and safe environment
combined with a chance to see some wild animals, what a great way to
generate more traffic. Light-O-Rama controllers can be used to
animate simple design pieces or used to coordinate everything in the
park. Imagine it, then do it!

Parking Lot Based Show
This is a drive through display spanning more
than 10 acres in a baseball stadium parking lot with
a one mile long vehicle path (look carefully for
the car tail lights driving through.) Music was arranged, performed and
recorded by Shadrack of Tennessee. This display uses over
1,600 Light-O-Rama channels spanning four data networks. Display elements include a 70 foot tall
megatree of lights as well as a 70 foot tall vertical
leaper. LED technology was deployed
throughout using less energy than if the parking
lot general lighting had been left on. This was one of
the three drive through displays setup by Shadrack in 2009.

Large Venue / Stadium Show
Bright Nights in Florida set up a gigantic show in
the Roger Dean baseball stadium to celebrate Christmas in a whole
new way. 30 minute shows were every hour. Light-O-Rama
equipment was used to control everything you saw and heard.
Look carefully for the fireworks.
