9 Joshua Klein, El Dorado, ks, United States, Category 2, These are 5 jeeps configured to resemble the reindeer pulling Santa.  They have been performing in several different city Christmas parades  over the last 3 seasons.  The two young men that designed and built this wonderful show are Joshua Klein and Blain Dodson.  Please take a look at the links provided and I am sure you will see their twist is very unique.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-x8KuWkB_bo  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ona9LAJUDeI
13 Justin Hunt, Dawsonville, GA, United States, Category 2, This was our first year with an animated display. We had just over 7000 lights and we used 16 Channels of Light O Rama to pull it off. The very first year we moved into out home, we wrote Ho Ho Ho on the roof. No matter what we changed the phrase to over the years, we were still know as the Ho Ho Ho house. So as a fitting tribute, we brought the Ho Ho Ho back for our first year of animation and it has been a huge hit.
16 Robert  Dunn, Benton City, MO, United States, Category 2, I love putting up an awesome display every year, but this year I wanted to put it to music. I worked it all out with 16 channels, but I tried to use all of the channels to their full extent. In the video I have replaced the recorded audio with a clearer sounding audio file. The video has not been edited beyond clearing up the audio. I have sequences for three songs, but I couldn't decide which one to entire so I joined them all up into one big compilation.  I cannot be sure that youtube will not block my video due to copyright issues. If it is blocked from your viewing, please tell me and I will upload it to Vimeo and send you the new link. I really enjoyed using the Light-O-Rama software and loved to watch it all come together.
17 Bob Wilson, dearborn, Michigan, United States, Category 2, Home made arch using PVC tube for the frame. We modeled it after a local county park display. We have many blow ups we switch out each year. We try to add something new each year. We are looking to upgrade the animation to a light o Rama 16 channel for next year. The controller we use now has 6 channels and really limits what we can do. It has 6 preprogrammed songs and all we can do is change the sequence the individual strings turn on. This year I added two strings of GE light effects tri color c9 size lights. I don't like them as much as I thought I would. Not the biggest or the best, but it is a start!
19 Scot Schmidt, Georgetown, Tx, United States, Category 2, right around 20,000 lights with 32 channels, 2 inflatables, life size nativity scene, But what makes our display unique is the music. I personally remixed and made a couple of mega mixes to create a show that is not only unique but invokes memories in the hearts of everyone who see's them. All of this is broadcast over our Ramsey Transmitter at St. Nix 106. This is our first year posting our videos to youtube and as of this contest entry we have had them up for one week with over 10,000 hits. It is also our first year of taking donations. We have teamed up with The Georgetown Project a charity that helps homeless kids that are still enrolled in school. It touched my family's heart to find out that these kids deal with the trials and tribulations of school at the same time they are fighting poverty and homelessness. So even if we were to not win this contest at least it is another avenue to get the charity GeorgetownProject.com in front of more people that could potentially help these children.
22 Christian MIASKIEWICZ, HAGONDANGE, lorraine, France, Category 2, I've got a 3,60 meter high Singing Snowman who can sing and play the guitar ; he can also blink. New for this year a 8 channel leaping arch

31 Derek Borstelman, Toledo, OH, United States, Category 2, This is my first LOR display.  Took me about 15 hours to set up, did it all in one day.  Manage to get stranded on the roof after the wind blew my ladder over, luckily my neighbors like me and came to my rescue.  Rained half the day too.  All the lights have been purchased over the years but this year I bought the blizzard snow fall tubes, which I think are really neat, but are expensive.  With all the lights and extension cords and LOR gear its about a $1,900 display.
32 Brad Herman, 10803 Overland Ave., Culver City, United States, Category 2, My Hanukkah Display, The Festival of Lights! Yes, you read that correctly, Hanukkah. I am aware it's a little untraditional. After a talk with my Rabbi I got the OK that it's Kosher.  It's my first year with Animated Lights, my 2nd with lights in general. This year I am at 3000 Lights and 16 animation channels. I have 2 songs that I sequenced by hand and 3 others that are adapted from ones I got on the forums.  So far the most popular has been my original animation rendition of the theme to Monday Night Football. That's the video I have submitted.  In addition to the official entry below I have a trailer that I cut for the light show with some of my b-roll footage to show the display in more detail.  http://vimeo.com/33361012.  It's my first year and I have already ordered 2 more controllers for next year, this is an addictive hobby!
33 Dino DiBiaso, Ashland, MA, United States, Category 2, 29 channels, mostly LEDs, first year. A decent example of what can be done with a minimal number of channels and a little attention to detail, or as the saying goes: sometimes less is more.
34 Greg Hebert, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, United States, Category 2, Light O Rama-32 Channels-We have mini lights, C-9's, flood lights, strobe lights and a really awesome FM Transmitter!! I have never seen this piece choreographed, hopefully Im the 1st!! ENJOY!!!
40 Diomedes Delmundo, Baguio, city, Philippines, Category 2, The Garden Lights Show using Light o Rama 16Channel. Let there be lights...The Final Countdown!
43 Adam Coleman, Denver, NC, United States, Category 2, This is our 2nd year using 32 channels of LOR controllers.  We are slowly converting to LED's, and trying to go bigger and better.  My 2 year old is just now understanding who and what Santa is, and the meaning of Christmas.  He screams "Kissmas Lights" almost every night and we have to go walk over to our neighbors driveway so we watch the lights.  Each years "début" is a big event in the neighborhood and most of the kids come to see.  We are excited about continuing this tradition for many years to come.
45 Rhandi Kuchenmeister, Clinton Township, MI, United States, Category 2, I have watched and loved all the LOR videos I've seen on the internet for years and finally buying a house and being able to put up my own lights made me even more excited to by one of your controllers.  This is only using a single 16channel controller and a premade sequence since I had limited time to learn the software. The "MERRY CHRISTMAS" is homemade along with the 11ft tall candy canes with hanging stars.  There is no doubt I will expand my collection of lights in the future and controllers but I gotta take one step at a time.
46 Leslie Bowser, Vinita, Ok, United States, Category 2, I have been out of work for almost 2 years, cannot draw unemployment and I was able to get my wife (who is the only one employed) to help me purchase a 16 channel Christmas package along with the advanced software. I put up a wire frame nativity along with a 6 channel arch. I have never won anything in my life so I told my wife I was entering the contest anyway! I wanted to have fun with the Light O Rama as well as tell the nativity story and the story plays (from the Bible books of Matthew and Luke) then followed by Amazing Grace and O Holy Night, then the story again followed by two different songs and does this for the entire show each night. I wanted to give tribute to the Lord Jesus Christ for being so good to me despite the 2 past years of no work. Thanks for your wonderful product, as I have been having a blast working on this project all year long. And if I win, I am buying more Light O Rama! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all!
48 Russ Hamilton, Frisco, tX, United States, Category 2, 32 Channel Christmas light display.  Including 2, 2 color 15 foot arches, 10 mutlicolor trees, Strobe lights , and about 12,000 total lights.  Using Light O Rama software & Controllers. The music is played thru a speaker and broadcast via FM Transmitter.   This is my second year doing a computer controlled display. Trees and arches are self built.  It really started for me when my 2 year old daughter asked me to put Elmo's World to Lights. which of course I did last year and she and I were hooked.) :-) .786 Saddlebrook Dr. Frisco TX.  10 Channels Multi Trees, 16 Channel 2 color Arches (one box is running both arches the same), 1 Strobe, 1 Border Floor, 1 Bushes, 1 Roof, 1 Top Left Window, 1 Lower Windows

51 mark Warner, Vancouver, Washington, United States, Category 2, This would be my first time computerizing my display. I bought the DIY 16 channel kit. The Star on the Roof 4X4 with 300 mini light built be me. I built six mini trees three are 5ft size and three are 2ft size. The Stars on the mini trees were hand built be me using Coroboard, each little star has 20 lights, The Snowman on the Roof is 12ft tall. I believe the light count is about 2000.. I have placed two speakers outside for the music, no FM transmitter. Light show starts at 5pm everyday and last till 10pm. At 10:05pm a new show starts thats rotates the channels in groups of 4 to display the lights with out music until 7am. All my kids Love it and the neighbors are definitely jealous....
56 Joseph Young, Sparks, GA, United States, Category 2, This is my first attempt using a Showtime Controller.  I used approx 8,000 lights with LED lights on the roof.  Thank you for the affordable technology to create individual masterpieces by anyone which can be enjoyed by everyone.
60 MARCHAND HERVE, AMILLIS, ILE DE FRANCE, France, Category 2, Welcome to Rvchristmasland
66 Brendan Cysewski, Bothell, WA, United States, Category 2, We just got the LOR kit this year and have only had it for 2 weeks. We used 3 sets of Christmas LED lights on everything. We used all 32 channels and have a 3 color scheme that I programmed to a handful of songs. The whole house was set up by my dad and me, and we build 35 custom mini Christmas Trees to accompany the rest of the house. We really love the LOR system and have been very happy with our results.
75 Nicholas Edwards, Linden Park, South Australia, Australia, Category 2, I have used 32 channels this year. I have 3 songs and this is usually a crowd favourite. Light o rama is really fun to use and the results are shown here!! Within the 32 channels is a nativity scene which I feel should be included in all light displays because after all, without what the nativity scene shows, we wouldn't have the lights! The song is Carol of the Bells - Trans Siberian Orchestra
81 Chris Palmer, Katy, Texas, United States, Category 2, I am using LOR 16 Channel Controller with the lates software. I have aprox. 15,000 light with FM transmitter. The video is a song that I programmed from Local talent singing NOEL which was all done by a friend that was the singer and recorded in her studio. Look forward to doing more next year adding another controller and even more lights.
83 Mike Wilson, Cincinnati, OH, United States, Category 2, 32 Channels.  FM Transmitter.  Mega Tree.
94 Keith Henry, Kissimmee, FL, United States, Category 2, I put my display together within two weeks. I wanted to give my daughters a magical Christmas that would really put them in the holiday spirit. My display uses 16 channels and is set to music.
95 MIKE ELLISON, JACKSONVILLE, FL, United States, Category 2, We have 32 channels with over 16,000 lights, with 11 differents songs from Frosty to Party Rock that make up our 30 minute show.  However, the biggest hit for the kids and our contest entry is our last song of the show which is Phineas & Ferb singing "We Wish You a Merry Christmas."  Each character is an animation (mini tree or deer) that sings.  The kids really love Perry the Platapus as the deers.  This is our first year running the LOR program.  We had a local TV station (WTLV 12) come out and do a LIVE broadcast for the Official Lighting of the Yard ceremony that we have each year on Thanksgiving nite.  My 10 year old daughter and I are outside everynite greeting everyone that comes by and give each visitor a candy cane.  Thanks for making our Christmas light show so much better this year.  Merry Christmas to each of you and your families!! Mike
98 richard  shirk, dayton, ohio, United States, Category 2, well i have been doing this a few years now with a 6 chan gemi box to drive a solid state relay box i had made and decided to go lor this year and see how i could change the display using your controller and boy did it change . i now have a larger group of watchers stopping by to see the show. i am using a pc16  system and using a amplified speaker for audio. not to sure on light count sense i have added to it this year but would be guessing 5 to 10,000 lights in all..most all lights are white  and red  i had changed up the tree in middle of yard to green to offset  it all  and also added in the rows threw the yard .   the vid is again one of my first so audio isn't the best as i still plan to go fm transmitter in future as well as go to 32 or more chans..  so i hope you guys like my first time at lor system as now i can only learn more threw the years . thanks for a great system.  Richard Shirk   Dayton ohio...
100 RONALD LANDIS, MADISONVILLE, LOUISIANA, United States, Category 2, We have approx. 27,000 LED'S all synchronized to Disney "Christmas Wishes".  Our entire house is covered in red, white and green as well as 4 Christmas trees each in red, white and green.  We also have "floating' snow flakes and strobes.  3 leaping/dancing arches as well as two light stands that are synchronized to the voice of Jiminy Cricket in the show.
101 John Freed, Lima, Ohio, United States, Category 2, This is of my Christmas Show with "Party Rock Anthem." It is an original sequence using 31 LOR channels (I reserve one as a spare). The display features multi, clear, red, green, and blue lights for a total of 12,300. I also have a blow mold nativity scene, snowman, and bear. The eight foot high Santa and four foot high snowman are both airblown. The star is a refurbishing of the original my grandpa made and used for many years.
108 Ralph Riganti, Newbury Park, California, United States, Category 2, I purchased my first LOR 16 ch. controller in 2009 and then added another one in 2010. I would love to have a much bigger display (wouldn't every guy ;)) This year I've upgraded my lights to LED and added on some strobes for effect. People that view my animated light production think that I'm a genius, until I tell them it's all done by the Light-O-Rama controllers and software. I couldn't add on more channels this year but I'm hoping to go big next year! I'm using an FM transmitter in order to have visitors tune in to the music from their vehicles which is a real benefit to keep them watching! Thanks for making this all possible. I love LOR!
111 Guilherme Domingues, Săo Gonçalo, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Category 2, My display is my first animation with Light-O-Rama. I was looking for a music that has an bigger impact, and get out a little of the tradition to use the Trans-Siberian Orchestra's music. I choose the Suite from The Polar Express written by Alan Silvestri and Glen Ballard. My House was decorated with 8369 micro-lamps. And I put my Christmas tree connected with my light-o-rama. this Christmas tree, was 4 different colors: purple, green, white and blue. I've put also, 17 Estrobe Lights, in front of my house.
113 James Hill, Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada, Category 2, Already entered but didn't realize there was a file number to my vimeo video. Sorry.  vimeo.com/34251897
116 Ryan Beazley, Odessa, Texas, United States, Category 2, 1st Year 32 channels...10 mini trees, 2 arches, 5 songs
119 Dillon  Stevenson, Plymouth , Michigan, United States, Category 2, Hi My name is Dillon Stevenson I am 14 years old and this is my first year putting together a Light-O-Rama display. I have always wanted to put on a Christmas light display on since I can remember. Even though I broke my leg this year that did not stop me from putting my lights up it just stopped me from going on to the roof. I put a lot of time, money, and effort into my Christmas light display this year. I also won my neighbor hood Christmas light contest.
120 Christine Sanchez, fresno, CA, United States, Category 2, This is our first year syncing our Christmas display to music.  We've been wanting to do this for several years but never could afford it.  It was well worth the money.  We used one 16 channel controller and sync it to 3 songs.  Since it was our first year learning the controller we decided to keep the display simple.  Now we are hooked and have plans to build bigger arches, a mega tree and several towers for next years display.  My neighbors at first did not know what to make of it since it's the first in the area.  Now I have several neighbors who want a LOR controller for next year.  I volunteered to help them with the controller if they get it.  Thank you this was loads of fun and we look forward doing it again maybe for 4th of July and Halloween.
122 brian martin, fort worth, texas, United States, Category 2, First year with light o rama , only had  a week to set up and get going .
124 Daniel Hopkins, Lockeport, Nova Scotia, Canada, Category 2, 15000 LEDs controlled by 32 channels of Lightorama, I love setting up and start in late September, I really love LOR ,its awesome
129 Adam Rasmussen, Lisle, ILLINOIS (IL), United States, Category 2, This is my first year doing a Christmas Lights Show Display and can be seen in Lisle, IL.  This would not have been possible without the great products from Light-O-Rama.  I have been wanting to do this for years and finally had the money and time to pull it off…some might say my wife’s approval was also a key factor.  I only used 16 channels this year but next year I plan on adding another 16 channel controller.  The music is a Holiday Megamix I put together of about 10 of my favorite Christmas songs.  This is the second sequence I did for this year…the first sequence I did is which will also be entered is to Barenaked Ladies rendition of Jingle Bells.  Some people were shocked at how much time it takes to make this possible but I enjoyed every minute of it.  Doing the programming itself can be very addicting.
130 Chris Royster, Chesterfield, Va, United States, Category 2, I initially purchased the Light-o-rama controller for my personal enjoyment.  However, this year my 3 year old son, Riley, decided he wanted to put his own spin on it and make the lights "dance" along to HIS favorite song.  So, I decided to make it an opportunity for quality father/son time as we sat for hours (in broken up increments...as long as I could keep a 3 year old entertained) going beat by beat...listening to this song over and over until it was to his liking.  It was enjoyed by ALL of our neighbors as well as many of Riley's classmates (of course he went to go to school and told EVERYONE).  I think what people enjoyed the most was that it was not just the "typical" Christmas tune that every other house has or that you can just see when you search the internet.  We are looking forward to next year as we hope to have more controllers and my wife has decided she now wants to write her own.
132 Michael Ganci, Palm Harbor, Florida, United States, Category 2, My dad got our family hooked on Christmas lights since we were little kids. Ever since then my brother and I have added more lights every year and now we have synced music to it. We created this just to see all the kids smile when they drive by. Our house will only get better as we go on. Thank you for considering us!
139 Joe Parisi, Newburgh, NY, United States, Category 2, This was my first year ever using Light O Rama, I thought it was intuitive and very easy to use!  I think my display is very nicely arranged organized and well thought out. I will definitely be expanding next year!
140 Richard Mensie, Eclectic, Alabama, United States, Category 2, This is my first year in setting up or home Christmas show.  Video is not the best but should work.  Using LOR controllers with a total of 32 channels.  Just did a video on one song, had five more to choose from.  Approximately 20,000 lights, which I plan to double next year.  We had no theme other than to entertain the children and adults alike.  We hope you like it.
141 Kellen Wilson, Austin, TX, United States, Category 2, 1st Year Animating the Display. Many newbie issues but certainly plan to bring a bigger and better show next year. We have 32 channels of LOR and had a blast setting it up for the neighborhood this year. We hope you all enjoyed!
145 Gil Jones, Oro Valley, Arizona, United States, Category 2, My display is sequenced using a 16 channel controller from Light-O-Rama.  Seven of the channels were used to run an arch while the remaining channels controlled: a lighted tree, bushes with multi-colored mini lights, a homemade Joy sign, a lighted angel, the roofline, icicles, 2 spiral trees, and lighted present boxes.  It was 5 days before Christmas when we got the idea to automate our lights.  Light-O-Rama shipped out the controller on Dec 20th, the same day we ordered it, and we had the display up and running on Dec 27th.  I read the entire manual for the LOR software and was able to sequence 2 songs while waiting for the controller to arrive.  I installed all the software on my 12 year old son's computer and he was also able to sequence a song on his own.
147 Brady Lamprecht, Longmont, CO, United States, Category 2, A relatively simple light show built around the idea of having Kermit the Frog as the Master of Ceremonies (MOC).
148 paul russell, troy, ny, United States, Category 2, my light show is toy box madness
154 scott joyner, nashville, nc, United States, Category 2, First year using light o rama.  Have 15 minitrees, 12 slowflakes, 12 spiral trees, 2 Gemmy light trees, 47 candy canes , 5 airblown decorations ( Candy canes and airblowns make up Santa land) , 8 soldiers, 2 blowmold snowmen, 1 blow mold  santa, and icicles arond roof.  Just staring out plan on expanding next year.
160 DENNIS CANARIO, PORTSMOUTH, RI, United States, Category 2, This was my first year setting up a Light O Rama system. I actually started just a few short weeks before Christmas. With the help of Light O Rama getting the controller to me and the assistance of Brian Rieger helping to animate the lights, I was able to get the show up and running for everyone to enjoy. I can't wait until next year so I can expand and have a bigger show.
161 Paul Silvestri, Sterling Heights, Michigan, United States, Category 2, Ashton Lights is a 32-channel Light-O-Rama display with over 7,000 lights, and 2011 was our first year using LOR.  We have been doing a static display for over 10 years now, and we were very excited to make the transition to using LOR.  Our display consists of a 4 mini trees, 2 light-up penguins, 20 candy canes, and lots and lots of lights.
162 Mat Koohns, Tacoma, wa, United States, Category 2, Hallelujah by Mannheim Steamroller using 32 channels  of light o rama
169 Bill Hoffman, Athens, OH, United States, Category 2, I do a lot of animation using LOR, this is one of my new skits for 2011.
171 BRIAN KING, BOGALUSA, LA, United States, Category 2, This is my first year using Light O Rama.  I have a 32 Channels and running about 12000 light.  I tried breaking the effects up based on my 4 columns, 10 candy canes, 3 crape myrtles and the 4 lighted trees and reindeer.    I really need to win the controller so I can add new effects for next year.
179 Anthony Bernal, Sunnyvale, California, United States, Category 2, The Little Drummer Boy, by Mannheim Steamroller. My display is "Lights On Peach Avenue", a two house holiday display featuring 18,000 LED lights synchronized to music. Partnering with the Second Harvest Food Bank of San Mateo and Santa Clara Counties we are collecting food donations in barrels located at the display site. Listen to the music on FM 104.1.  At the time of this post we have raised over 600 lbs of food and featured in the San Jose Mercury newspaper.
184 Justin Bancale, missoula, montana, United States, Category 2, I am 13 years old and I have 2 LORs that I paid for myself, by selling $4800 in popcorn for the Scouts.  I put this display up almost completely by my self over a time of 1 week; afterschool, and in-between evening activities. ( about 12 hours) My parents assist me, I am the Project Engineer. I don't know how many lights I have but I have a lot. Not only do I set up the display,  but I program the system with music, and set up the entire system to automatically  start at 5:20 pm each evening.  Because I want my music to be heard easily, I have wired a 1 mile radius radio station, to play into passerby's cars at 88.1 FM.
186 Carl Beatty, Port Saint Lucie, FL, United States, Category 2, I started doing Christmas Lights as a kid with my Dad in Lake Worth Florida. When I got married and had my own house, I wanted to decorate it. My neighbor across the street had a really nice display (Static). I liked his display, it had reindeer and santa, you know the typical display. I wanted to do my house like that too. One day (about 5 years ago) I went on the internet and decide to find some ideas on decorating and I stumbled across Planet Christmas. Everyone on Planet Christmas had these great displays, I never knew you could make your lights move to music. After learning that most of the members on the website used LIGHT-O-RAMA to run their shows, I got really excited, and wanted to start animating my house. This has been a real challenge and a lot of fun animating our house for Christmas, and Halloween! I really look forward to these seasons every year so I can express my creativity through lights and sound! Our display has about 4,000 lights. We have about 7 reindeer, 4 arches, 1 large walkway arch, grinch on the roof, Jesus in the manger scene, 1 large star on the peak, lights on the roof, 2 7ft nutcrackers, 1 1500 light megatree, 4 spiral Christmas trees, 2 tomatoe cage Christmas trees, and 4 flood lights red, green. Animated on a 8 channel LOR box, hooked up to my computer wirelessly with outdoor speakers. I've animated over 50 songs in the last 5 years. This year alone I animated 20 songs, and used my display for New Years celebration with fireworks!
191 Franklin Huggins, Grandview, texas, United States, Category 2, I do this with 16 channels.  I have been doing this for 4 years.  I try to grow it every year.  I have bought another 16 channels for next Christmas.  With 16 channels i do my house and my neighbors.  The video does not show my neighbors.  I live in a small town and everyone comes by to see it.  I have a virtual santa in my window that the kids love.
193 Steve Geahry, Alameda, CA, United States, Category 2, We live on Christmas Tree Lane (https://www.facebook.com/christmastreelane) in beautiful Alameda, California. Our block of 1920-30s houses have been lighting the median evergreens and the homes since 1938. A Bay Area hot spot for holiday decorating, our block was featured on public radio's California Report this year (http://www.californiareport.org/archive/R201112231630/e). I was lucky enough to be interviewed; you can even hear my Light-O-Rama show during the interview!  We moved here 6 years ago and have been building up our display a bit more each year. I've been a huge fan of Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas since it came out and decided we'd theme our house accordingly. We enlisted the help of our friend Peter, an ILM (Industrial Light and Magic) animator to draw the figures on plywood, and we painted and built the substantial infrastructure to keep them perched up on the roof even during some good windstorms! Our series of characters include Jack, skeleton reindeer, and Zero on the roof. Lock, Stock, and Barrel with "Sandy Claws" grab a place on the lawn, and some of the children from the movie on the front porch. This is my second year using Light-O-Rama. The show consists of approximately 10 minutes of slowly fading and changing lights and then two songs from the movie, the introductory narration and “What's This?”, Jack's song about discovering Christmas. Hope you enjoy it!
194 brian ott, Willowick, Ohio, United States, Category 2, 2nd year using light o rama.added 2nd controller this year.approx.11,000 lights.i am also new at video tapping.ha
198 Jennifer Nelson, San Diego, CA, United States, Category 2, This is a music and light show using LOR's 16-channel controller. My 16 year old daughter and I worked on this together.  I hung the lights and setup the LOR controller.  My daughter picked the song, Hora Zero by Rodrigo y Gabriela, and programmed the music and lights.  We decorated our hill which has 10 orange trees across the top of it, and across the bottom of the hill we put decorative branches which were strung with LED lights.  The hill itself is decorated with lawn lights (LED lights where each light is spaced 8 feet apart) and large LED snowflakes.
203 Jason Eberhart, Canal Winchester, OH, United States, Category 2, The song is Santa Baby. This was my first year using a Light-O-Rama controller. The song is one that I created the sequence, instead of using a pre-programmed sequence. I have already started designing a new display and more sequences for next Christmas.
206 Greg Schmidt, Rosemount, MN, United States, Category 2, This was the first year with a synchronized light show on our house.  We started setup right after Halloween and had a great time.  Shows started the day after Thanksgiving and ran until Christmas Day.  Each night during the show we would hide in our house, keeping away from the front windows.  Occasionally we would peak out the windows and see if people were watching.  We used one 16 channel LOR controller, with the Basic Plus software.
207 Gabriel Letourneau, Saco, Maine, United States, Category 2, Hey, I'm 16 from southern Maine, This year i had less of a budget than i had hoped for so i designed my show around a cheep alternative, flood lights. I used lighting gells to cover the floods to create color (unfortunately the camera picked up red to much and green not much at all) but the color balance was good live. Also the big tree to the right was made out of some tall maple trees we cut down and made a 25' Tee pee-like structure. all in all we made $600 for the Maine cancer foundation, and had many more people see the show this year, than in past years. so, i'm happy with the outcome! P.S. My second controller (the Hobby one) was having some troubles during the recording, IE one of the stars doesn't fade, and the tree sometimes flashes randomly, but this was fixed quickly after recording!
209 Erin Spindler, Round Rock, Texas, United States, Category 2, I have 16 channels Light O Rama with 20,000 LED lights 1 Inflatable. Tune your car radio to 88.5 FM This is my first yr  doing a LOR display. I just sold my house and bought a bigger house perfect for next years display.
210 Bob Atkinson, El Monte, Calif., United States, Category 2, 32 channels approx 6200 regular and led lights. 10 mini trees, animated angel, train, and singing Santa. Two sets of different colored icicle lights. Four deer, snownman, bushes, trees, and porch are lighted. I learned to adapt sequences that great people were willing to share and hope to do some of my own sequencing and add 32 more channels next year. A special thanks to Light O Rama, WOW lights, Planet Christmas and all the forms for the help and ideas to allow a 62 year old Grandpa to do all this by myself. Ready to start on Christmas 2012
211 Brian Carpenter, North Venice, Fl., United States, Category 2, The boat belongs to my wife's boss who wanted it decorated for Christmas. Since our house usually has around 25,000 lights, 25 lowups, and 4 trains in the front yard, I got volunteered. It came out so well she entered it in the Sarasota Christmas Boat Parade.
213 Tyler Diedrich, Pitt Meadows, BC, Canada, Category 2, This is my first year doing an LOR display. I have 5 songs sequenced this year, with this entry being Trans-Siberian Orchestra's Christmas Eve Sarajevo.  I have used all incandescent lights, approx. 4000 mini's and C7's. I am using a 16 channel CTB16PC controller for my setup. I hope to move to 64 channels next year!
218 Bob Atkinson, El Monte, Calif., United States, Category 2, 32 channels. approx. 6,200 regular and led lights. Animated angel, train, and singing Santa. Four deer, snowman, porch, stars, bushes, trees and two different colored sets of icicles lights. This year I learned how to adapt sequences to my lights thanks to the kind people who were willing to share their hard work.  Going to work on sequencing my own and hope to add 32 more channels in 2012.  I would like to give a special thanks to Light O Rama, Planet Christmas, WOW lights, and all the great people throughout all the forms for their help and ideas to allow a 62 year old grandpa to have fun and set up his Christmas Display by myself.
226 Anthony Ferrara, Lyndhurst, Ohio, United States, Category 2, This is my first year using light o rama and a computerized show.  I used about 1100 lights on a 16 channel controller.  I used a car port frame for the driveway, with 2 sets of lights per upright.  I have 4 spotlights.  I built the little 4x6 Santa house using 1/2 pvc.  it is decorated with the blue icicle lights and white lights around the frame.  The inflatable is santa in an airplane and there are red and white lights for the landing strip.  with the addition of the new controller, on to bigger and better things.
228 Mike Houle, Las Vegas, Nevada, United States, Category 2, I am running 32 channels, 7,500 LED lights (sets of white and multicolored), four mini arches, a 4' Holdman Star on peak of the roof, 14 snowflakes / 26 candy canes (arranged in multiple circular shapes) scattered on the roof,  broadcast on 94.9 FM, all sequenced to the hottest party song, "Party Rock" by LMFAO.  Best viewed in HD 1080p.
230 Ryan Latourette, Grand Ledge, MI, United States, Category 2, My 2nd year of using Light-o-rama was a thrill.  I doubled the channel count to 32 and found myself really getting into planning out the display, pinpointing every decoration's placement and trying to be even more precise with sequencing.  Adding two channel trees out front gave the display a real wow factor.  And experimenting with the beat wizard for precision timing really gave the light show a lift.  Locally, the show was quite a hit with an immense amount of traffic, tons of positive comments, and a special surprise of two hearts created by scuffed feet in the driveway one Sunday morning.  And this year I noticed that while many homes in the metro area didn't have many lights to share their holiday cheer, the homes along my road strung more lights than ever and gave Christmas a brighter welcome.
241 Ron Yeager, Winnetka, Ca, United States, Category 2, Got my LOR controllers from WOW on 12/3. My original idea was to build a "piano" across my garage windows. It looked good, but was too far in the background. So I decided to run the lights up my palm tree. The tree was visually better. The rest of the light are basically what i normally put up for the holiday, but this year they are controlled. I sequenced 16 songs. 3 were good, 10 are OK, and one turned out bad. Hot Chocolate was the last one i sequenced.  I see where everything needs more definition, possibly thru simplicity. My neighbors were thrilled, my wife loved it. I'm working on Halloween. (in my mind so far). I'll be back next year with some DMX and less multi color light strings.
242 Ken Ladd, Reno, NV, United States, Category 2, This is our first year of using the LOR controller and adding the Mega-Tree. It is tedious to program but the results but the results are amazing. The first time we fired everything up and watched the show we were so exited. This year was the first year we had more than the occasional onlookers. Most nights there was at least one car parked out front to check out our show, and on the weekends there were often 2 or 3 cars that would watch all three songs (15:00). We have a display of about 15000 lights, mostly LEDs. The small arches on the side yards are 10' each. The arches over the driveway are 4 10' 1-1/2" gray for a total of 40' per arch. This is our third version of the arches and best yet. The mega-tree is 16' tall and 10' wide at the base. We are very budget minded about our display, buying almost everything after Christmas to take advantage of discounts. We have also replaced most of the incandescent lights on the figures (deer, snowman etc.) with LEDs to save money on electric bill and for their durability. We add something new every year and enjoy giving the neighborhood a show. We hope to add 1 - 2 more controllers for 2012 and hopefully this contest will help us with that goal.
244 Ryan Bereczky, Waukegan, IL, United States, Category 2, I purchased the Light-O-Rama starter kit for my parents as a Christmas present about two years ago. Before the next Christmas, my father bought another controller and upgraded the software package. They had a very basic show that year with a few Christmas songs. He also bought the set of stars for this year and we added the tree. I was laid off earlier last year from my IT job, so around Christmas I had a little free time to try my hand at programming the lights for them this year.  I wanted to do a song that I haven't seen done before. Of course the ever popular Trans-Siberian Orchestra is amazing to do shows with, but I came across this song when it was used in a short hockey montage by the Chicago Blackhawks. I thought the tone was so great and dramatic that it would be the most fun to do. I hope to win the contest because I would love to add another controller to our show and just keep going bigger!
251 Bryan Hagan, Odenton, Maryland, United States, Category 2, This is my first year with LOR. I have always wanted to do it and this year jumped in, late in the season but through help on the forums and community groups was able to get it done.  Didn't get my controls until at least mid-late November. Running 32 channels, this year was just a primer for me.  I have already order some DC boards, an iDMX device and some RGB devices and plan to add more AC controllers as well.  I'm hooked and love the LOR products and service.
253 RUDY MUNIZ, WESLACO, TX , United States, Category 2, 1ST YEAR USING LIGHT-O-RAMA. 32 CHANNELS & 7,000 LIGHTS. I UPLOADED VIDEO ON YOUTUBE UNDER rudymuniz036
263 Al Saunders, Brooklyn Park, MD, United States, Category 2, This is our 2nd year of using Light O Rama equipment. The show is using one 16 channel controller. The show has 7 songs and we have about 4000 lights. What is new this year is the Merry Christmas sign I made and the two Christmas packages/presents on the right hand side on the ground also hand made. The packages are different sizes. Sorry they are hard to see. We are planning on moving this year and will be getting more lights and probably adding a second controller. I know you get a ton of videos of Christmas Eve Sarajevo and I wanted to use another song but that sequence really shows the separation of the channels the best. Thanks for viewing Al & Donna Saunders
272 Don Adkins, Redford, Michigan, United States, Category 2, My light display started out as a static display until i see one of the videos on YouTube after seeing it i wonder how they do that and did some research and found out how. After purchasing a controller i was hooked and cant wait to get another. I have over 10,000 lights controlled by a 16 channel light controller that at first took some time to figure out once i did found it was easy to use. The good thing about the light controller is in the long run it saves me money.
273 Michael Baer, Turlock, California, United States, Category 2, This is my first year building a display. I have always liked putting lights up for Christmas and used to have a home with a large front yard that allowed me to put up close to 100 strings of lights pulling over 30 amps of power. However, I moved to this house early in 2011 and my front yard is not quite as big. I have thought about putting my Christmas to music before but I didn't know how to do it; that is until I found Light-o-Rama. Due to limited availability of the controllers from Light-O-Rama, I did not get my controller until 12/15/11. I figured since it was so close to Christmas that I would start with just one controller this year and then expand in future years. I am so glad that Light-O-Rama has these controllers and program available.  Now as far as this video, there are over 2,500 lights on 16 channels. This song took me and a friend over 16 hours combined to program as the song's beat and tempo changed many time during the song. I am sorry about the focus on the video but no matter how many times my friend and I tried to videotape the lights the camera always seemed to have a focus problem during the video. Enjoy the video. Thank you, Michael
276 Joey Cain, Winona, MS, United States, Category 2, This is my first year using Light O Rama. I have 16 channels and a little over 7,000 lights in my display. I edited this sequence to fit my display. The video was taken with my iPhone (my other cameras did a worse job than this filming). I plan on adding more channels next year to improve my show. I had numerous compliments about my show and people are already asking about next. Hope you enjoy the songs.
282 Roger Hebert, Katy, Tx, United States, Category 2, This is my first year with LOR. it was the best Christmas lights display we have ever had. I love the people to come out and watched my house light up. The fun thing is my neighbor is always trying to out do me so i never told him what i was doing all year till Nov. when i started to set up my display. He was mad at me but now he is going to join me next year!!! thank you Lightorama and CDI !!!!
283 Anthony Rose, LaGrange, Kentucky, United States, Category 2, This is my second year ever using Light-o-Rama equipment, I'm 19 years old and I have so much fun with it, its so sad to take it all down... Songs in the video are, Jingle Bells (Bass) by Basshunter, and Carol of the Bells by August Burns Red.
287 Greg Gassenhuber, New Berlin, WI, United States, Category 2, This is my third year sequencing lights to music. This sequence is new this season using Light-O-Rama hardware and software. The sequence uses only 16 channels and is set to music by the Boston Pops. Thanks for watching.
290 Ryan McNamee, Oakton, Virginia, United States, Category 2, This is hot chocolate from the Polar Express.  I fell in love with this song a few years ago when I was the drummer for my high school's jazz band.  Every year we would play this song and it always made the little kids who would see us play so happy.  I have approximately 13,000 incandescent lights and 32 channels in this display.  8 channels for the arches (arches are not independent), 6 mini trees each with separate clear channels and a channel to turn all 6 tress on multi-color. The remaining 18 channels are used to light up the house, bushes, and shrubs in front of the walkway (the shrubs also are clear and multi-color).  This is my first LOR display and I look forward to many more years.
291 Edward Horner, Riverside, CA, United States, Category 2, I have finally upgraded my Jeeps Christmas lighting system to the LOR software and hardware,  we won "Best Use of Lights" at this years "Wrightwood Parade of Lights".  I would love to add some serious upgrades to this set-up.
292 Tim Hay, Salem, OR, United States, Category 2, This is my very first year using the Light O Rama system with 32 channels.  The entry I submitting was my own programming (Music Box Dancer).       I have 32 channels, plus a static display.   The Santa and reindeer are on a separate fader.    I have 13 songs all together, some of the programming is mine, some is programming I got from LOR.
298 Jim & Kathy Macdonald, Carbon, Alberta, Canada, Category 2, We have about 20,000 LED's dancing around our yard using 32 channels of Light-o-Rama.  We also have wood cutouts, inflatables and wireframe deer, snowmen and stars.
307 Derek Brostek, Crozet, VA, United States, Category 2, This is my first year using a LOR controller and I love it!  I had used a simple Mr. Christmas for a couple of years and always looked at the LOR videos online and wished I could get one.  I finally got one just after Thanksgiving this year and had my songs done and the lights up in early December.  I had a blast making the songs, but I quickly realized my ideas were larger than the number of channels in my 16 channel starter package!  So I am entering the contest.  My favorite song is The Mad Russian, and it definitely took the longest to create.  I am very happy with what I could do with just 16 channels and about 7000 lights.  Next year should be even better!  The whole family loves LOR, and my 11 year old daughter even did an entire song herself - Santa Claus is Coming to Town.  I wish my videos were clearer, but I think I need a nicer dedicated HD camera.  I tried to dub the actual music over the videos, but YouTube stripped it out.
313 Julie Martin, Tulsa, Oklahoma, United States, Category 2, This is my first year using the LOR, and I just loved it!  I didn't get my LOR till the last week of October and enjoyed that the software was user friendly to learn.  That definitely made it easier to get a few songs ready for Christmas.  I have mostly LED lights.  I lined the front of my house with blue LED c-9's using 4 channels so that I could make a chase effect.  I had two different color icicles, blue and white, that I had switching back and forth.  This was also my first year to attempt making leaping arches.  The arches were made with 6 channels per arch using green incandescent mini lights.  I used an fm transmitter to play the songs on the radio station 102.9fm so I did not bother the neighbors. (I figured I was already blinding them with lights and didn't need to make them hate noise too...lol)  I am pleased with the way it turned out, and look forward to next year.  I already have plans to add more.
317 Erin Spindler, Round Rock, texas, United States, Category 2, This is my house in Round Rock Tx. We have 20,000 LED lights 1 inflatable 5 dancing trees all computerized by 16 channels of Light O Rama and my Lap top. Tune your car radio to 88.5 FM to listen to the music. Bring the family sit back and enjoy. Go to 1805 Rusty nail Loop Round Rock Tx 78681 Show runs everyday from 6pm to 10pm
318 Caleb Linburg, York, Pennsylvania, United States, Category 2, This is our house, I am 13 years old and pay for most of the lighting and controllers myself. We have 32 channels 16 on the house and 16 on the mega tree. I really want to add more controllers next year and improve our singing face. I also want to add some RGB next year. I estimate we have about 30,000 lights on our house.
327 Joseph Torp, Stephens City, VA, United States, Category 2, This was one of my favorite songs to sequence this year (Techno Christmas by DJ Christmas). The show uses 17 LOR channels, and the lights and other hardware are all installed within 4-5 days (over Thanksgiving Break). I'm very proud of how the show looks this year, and can't wait to do it again!
329 Nicola Francischiello, San Diego, Carabobo, Venezuela, Category 2, Mega Tree in the access of the Metropolitan Park of San Diego, Venezuela.  76 feet high with 200.000 led light. Property of the Municipality of San Diego, Venezuela, with the collaboration of Luigi & Nicola Francischiello of Starbirth Corp c.a. company.  Using 32 ch Light-o-Rama LOR with Mp3 show director.
330 Andy Harbeck, Pasadena, Ca, United States, Category 2, This is my first Lightorama controller and I wanted to build a Mega spiral tree for my front yard. The tree uses sixteen channels and is 12.5 ft tall. MY two sons ages 8 and 5 helped me sequence the spiral patterns and we ended up with a loop about 5 minutes long. We really enjoyed watching the cars stop and take pictures and we got a lot of great comments. Thanks!
331 Zack Klassen, Fort Collins, CO, United States, Category 2, I have been a Concert/Theatrical Lighting Designer for about 10 years now. This is my 9th annual Christmas Light Show. Each year I choose 3-4 songs, each different from the previous year. This year I chose 3 songs, using 32 channels. My favorite programmed song is the 3rd, starting at 7:00 min. into the video. This is my first year using the Light O Rama Software. Prior to 2011, I had programmed and operated the Christmas Lights on my house using various concert lighting consoles and equipment from a small office in my basement, only looking through a small window. I was very pleased with my purchase and enjoyed watching my light show for the very first time!
338 Landon Holmes, Stratford, Prince Edward Island, Canada, Category 2, I am 19 years old and this is my second year using Light-O-Rama. I've always loved Christmas lights and when I came upon Light-O-Rama I was amazed and determined that I was going to create my own show. At first my parents weren't very keen on the idea of having Christmas lights going crazy on our front lawn, but when I said I would pay for everything and do all the work to setup, maintain and take down the show, there was really no way they could say no. Last year I dedicated my show to a close neighbor of mine who died of a stroke earlier in the year. Because I dedicated the show to my neighbor I decided it would be an awesome idea to collect donations for the Heart and Stroke Foundation in his memory. Since then I have raised almost $12,000 for Heart and Stroke!  This year I hosted an opening night to make my show more of a community event. The turnout for my “big launch” exceeded my expectations, and people continued in throughout the rest of the holiday season. My LOR light show has become a real holiday tradition and celebration for my family as well as many other families across our small Island. There is no better feeling than watching families come by and be completely mesmerized by all of our hard work. Just like last year, I promised our local newspaper that I would come back even bigger and better then next year. Since I am still a student, winning this contest would be a huge help for me to grow my show and hopefully raise more money for the Heart and Stroke!
340 Darren Reid, Stevens Point, WI, United States, Category 2, This is my first year doing a light show.  I wanted to be the first in town to have a computer sequenced light show and I believe that I was.  I have approximately 2,500 lights, most of which are LEDs.  I plan to go larger for next year.
341 Rebecca Mundschau, Bakersfield, California, United States, Category 2, This was my 1st year doing an animated lightshow! Our display has over 10,000 Energy Efficient LED's. We have 2- 16 channel light-o-rama controllers for a total of 32 channels, and the song we used for our entry is Amazing Grace! We are hoping to add a mega tree for 2012! Hope you enjoy!
349 Lori Phillips, Rolla, MO, United States, Category 2, This is my first year using Light-O-Rama hardware and software and I had a BLAST!  I had 32 channels and already have expansion plans for 2012!
352 Joe Selph, Glendale, CA, United States, Category 2, This was my first year using Light-o-Rama.  I saw on online video that peaked my interest and began researching how they did it.  That's how I came across Light-o-Rama.  Sadly, all of the controllers were sold out and I though my dreams had been dashed.  But I kept checking back and they went on sale again.  While waiting anxiously for the controllers to arrive, I began practicing my sequencing skills.  My experience being a puppeteer really helped me to program this song. I have been a Bette Midler fan for years, so this was a logical song choice for me.  There are just over 9,500 lights (static & animated) using 32 channels. Enjoy!
