6   chick Kazienko, Braselton, GA, United States, Category 1, Approx 40000 LED lights White & Multi, 2 15' Arhces White, 2 10' Arches Multi, 10 Mini Trees white, 5 light sticks white, 6 6 ' Trees multi / white, roof lines, 6 wreaths white / multi, 30 candy canes lining drive, icicles lights, PVC window frames with white, Net lights on bushes white / multi, 3 oaks wrapped in multi / white.  Been planning on adding controllers / sequencing for past 2 yrs but keep hitting road bumps.  Hope to win contest and start the madness in 2012.
14   Scott Sawin, Roseville, CA, United States, Category 1, Pictures are on my website.  This is my 5th year of static lights for Christmas with a blue and cool white theme.  Though from the pictures its hard to see the blue or really understand how bright it really is.  My goal has always been to put up as many lights as possible without looking tacky and at 15,000 lights I am getting close to that limit in my postage stamp of a front yard.  I am the type who can never leave it alone though so each weekend until Christmas I will find ways to continually add.  I hear that is a no no when it comes to synchronizing so that will be a tough habit to break.
21 Ralph Marius, Concord, NC, United States, Category 1, This is my a temp to bring Christmas lights to our neighborhood.  Not many people decorate around here so I do the best with what I got.  I do wish I had the money to go out and buy A kit but kinda tight on money right now.  Every year we try to buy 1 or two Items after Christmas when things go on sale.  I also set up for Halloween.  Thanks
24 Gene Garcia, Colorado Springs, Colorado, United States, Category 1, I have always had lights on my house since 1994 starting with a string on the gutter and a blow mold Santa, over the years it has just grown and I have wanted to do a light show for about the last five years and not knowing where to start I with a computerized show I came across your site this year. I am maily decoration with blow molds as that is my preference I enjoy them a lot more and have started to purchase some more unique ones, I am currently using a Mr Christmas for my light show at this time and it is serving its purpose for now. Thank you Gene
29 david preston, kingman, az, United States, Category 1, my residential light display uses between 50 and 60,000 lights. With the help of my handy man, son and 2 grandchildren, we started decorating nov. 2 and every day through thanksgiving when the power went on and will go on every night at 5:45-10:00 through new year!  none of my displays are computerized (not yet). However, one tree is hooked up to a music box  , and several ornaments  have their own speed control box to provide  the appearance of motion. in addition i do have some multi-function and blinking lights.

38 Jason Shoff, Galloway, NJ, United States, Category 1, Our first year putting up Christmas lights. Hoping to upgrade to a computer controller next year, Light-O-Rama of course! The lights are mostly incandescent with the exception of the walkway which are LED. I've known about LOR for some time now and frequent the site. I love to see all the creativity that comes from the LOR community! Can't wait to see what everyone has done this year.
39 Ryan Teetz, West Allis, WI, United States, Category 1, Its about 7,000 lights and we want to add more but first want to get a light o Rama system and this is a great way to do that.
44   Rober Black, lowell, Indiana, United States, Category 1, My entry is just a static entry with some motion non computerized. A few net lights across the bushes and m5 string lights everywhere else, with a moving Santa and some presents. With one mini tree for next year.
54   Jason Hickmott, Metamora, mi, United States, Category 1, I try and go for a Classic Classy display.  I Have 25,712 lights.  This fall I put in 120 amp service dedicated for my Christmas display.  It took me 50 hrs to put all my lights up and run chords.  2 newspapers featured my display for there front page, and now the locals call me Clark.. LOL

89 Tim Berenz, Maineville, OH, United States, Category 1, Over 8,000 lights, includes animated and static inflatables as well as animated and static lights. Some lights are connected to preprogrammed transmitter to flash with preprogrammed songs.
106   Ray Juneau, Slave Lake, Alberta, Canada, Category 1, Slave Lake was devastated by a wildfire in May of this year that burned approximately 30% of our Town. They are saying that it is the second biggest natural disaster in Canadian history...being that over 350 houses were lost...If you Google Slave Lake wildfires you will see the devastation! I was so lucky and only by Gods will that we never lost our home...but anyway...I wanted to light up my house bigger and better than usual for those that never had lights as there ware many depressed people this time of year in Slave Lake Alberta. It was a lot of work but a lot of fun and I can't believe the amount of people driving by and stopping to look. So glad I could do that for my town to see some smiley faces. This will be the lasy year for my old style bulbs as I have intentions of going led due to being out of power and I actually want to add more ! In fact my electrician who came over freaked on me for over powering breakers etc. I actually had to have him disconnect my welder and add more boxes. LOL. So its time for an upgrade and want to use your system to do so. Thanks for looking at my display and hoping to win so I can light it up even bigger and better for next year in my town of Slave Lake, AB. Canada. Seasons greetings to you and yours. Alll the best  Ray
114   david cope, placerville , ca , United States, Category 1, 1,200 light moving to the sound of music .controlled by a MR CHRISTMAS light show in a box .LOR contest entry LIGHT O RAMA
121 Chris Weeks, Maricopa, Arizona, United States, Category 1, I have used 16147 Lights.  The few items that blink on and off are controlled by a Gemmy 6 channel controller.  The controller just randomly turns each channel on and off.  I did not consider that computerized.  This is one of my hobbies that only comes once every year.  My kids are my motivation because they are always wondering what I may do differently each year.
123 Luke Cutler, Upper Hutt, Wellington, New Zealand, Category 1, Designed and set up totally by myself (Luke Cutler) (16yrs old).  Our display is at 39 Chatsworth Rd Silverstream, Upper Hutt, New Zealand.
This is our 5th year doing Christmas lights, I started with only a string of 100 clear lights that my mum gave me and we have grown from there! The display is set up during the afternoons throughout November (in-between study for exams) and then runs all December.  My dream is to one day have a huge display that runs on lightorama, I want my lights to be able to dance to music to create an amazing display! Unfortunately my budget does not allow me to buy a controller at the moment! (:  Here is an article written last year by the local newspaper about my hard work, doing the lights:

125   Barry Squires, Saratoga Springs, Utah, United States, Category 1, Well as you might be able to see right in our front yard we have a 20 Foot lighted Christmas tree.  I hoped to have that by next year displaying a flying Santa Claus and Reindeer so it will be around 15 to 20 feet in the air flying from the front of my front yard to the back which will be about a 20 to 30 foot flight path.  As you can also see I have been slowly switching to LED Christmas lights 90 % of our lights are now LED.  The Gingerbread train & the moving lighted wire framed deer were part of my home where I grew up and every year I'm trying to add something new to my display as my dad and I did at the home I grew up in I would like my 2 children to have the same feeling I did when my father and I when out and decorated the home I grew up and to be able to help make my neighbors and other individuals who drive by our house feel the spirit of Christmas and make each little child SMILE.
131 jeff barrie, New Beith, Qld, United States, Category 1, This is the second year that we have done lights and while driving around Brisbane Aust, I was totally amazed by the couple of LOR animated displays we saw and thought that is where I want to go. Our display this year is almost all new LED string and rope light as the stuff we bought last year was cheap and most of it didn't work this year.   The display has about 12000 LED lights in it and I am of the opinion that made is better than bought so here is a quick run down on our lights. The candy canes are about 3m tall with 20m of red and white LED rope light across the 2 the red is on static and the white is on slow glow. The Happy Christmas across the front of the house is 40m of warm white LED rope light lower case letters 55cm tall.  The roof border is 100m white LED string on twinkle, while the blue zig-zag pattern and front gutter string is on static. The icicle LED strings along the front are on alternate flash.  The Jacaranda tree on the footpath has 5. 4m strings of icicle LEDs and 40m of warm white rope light.   We would like to add initially 16 channels of LOR sequencing to our display next year, so it would be great to win your comp. We intend to run two lines of wording one over the top of the other. To sequence with a 2.5m x 8m fabricated figure display above the roof.  Then adding another  100m of green and red LED string to the roof to be sequenced in.  In the years to come a fully sequenced fountain in multi colours and 16 arches in 4 sets of 4 around the oval rose garden across another 48 channels.  Thank you, God Bless, Happy Christmas and a Great new year.  Jeff Barrie.

146   Greg Chiappetta, Leander, TX, United States, Category 1, 15000+ lights, mostly LED with an inflatable Santa
166 Brett Brownderville, Sherwood, AR, United States, Category 1, We have around 5700 lights all together. All are mostly Clear mini incandescent lights.  We have a few hundred multi-color C9s lining the yard line. We don't have many yard decorations for this year as it was only our first year decorating at all. We have big plans for next year though. Looking to get 2 LOR controllers at least for the 1st non static show.
173   Clouard Jacques, VERMONDANS, Franche comte, France, Category 1, This is a static system;  Animations are just made with automatic animator;  Next Year, it will be a big tree at the right and a water wind wheel on the roof;  I  have discover Your system just any days before Christmas;  I have charge the demo software and made a test with: very very top!!!!!!!!
196   Gary Davis, Frisco, Texas, United States, Category 1, 16,000 lights this year pulling 62 Amps. Christmas tree is 13' tall and has multi color C9s (hard to see in the pictures) for ornaments. The trees have about 40 C9 twinkle bulbs in each one of them for an added touch.  Hoping to animate next year, increasing the size of the Christmas tree to 20' and a total bulb count of 25,000!
212 Linda Brown, Lubbock, Texas, United States, Category 1, Many of the items in the display are hand made. People have told us that's one of the reasons they enjoy our display so much each year. They get to see elements that they don't see anywhere else. We made the candy cane tree carousel, Ferris wheel, Bethlehem star, snowflakes on the roof, the ladder and elves, and the sleigh and reindeer.  Santa in the sleigh is sound activated and waves his hand and sings.  I also made the nativity scene and the angels that are on each end of the yard.  Kids of ALL ages love the virtual Santa in the window.  We also made a video screen and put speakers outside so visitors could listen to the Christmas music and watch videos.  People take pictures of one another in front of the display and we hand out candy canes when the weather permits.

I have 2 light trees that I am working on doing more with and arches over my drive with multiple colors. I am looking into going computerized but have always been intimidated by the thought. I have used the GE Mr. Christmas but they are ok at best. I want to go with the best Lightorama in the future years. Sorry I have no video.

303 Philip Scher, Burlington, Ontario, Canada, Category 1, Watching too many shows on TLC and then searching youtube, i wanted on of those houses that people came to see.as a kid growing up, my father displayed a one dimensional Santa as yard art.  again searching online found some patterns to start my display of Santa and 9 reindeer.  making and painting the yard art is what i did last year.  i'd like to move on from static to something animated.  online searching led me to lightorama, and this contest.  the video that inspired me, well actually it was the title of the video on youtube..."how t really annoy your neighbours".  and that is what i really want to do...but in a nice way.

Me and my son start setting up in early November in hopes of getting the lights all on around December 1st. This years display included between 15,000 and 16,000 lights. A variety of mini lights, c7's, and starting this year some LED's. Most decorations are handmade (With exception of the blowmolds the snowflakes and the snowman). We have a snowman that blows fake snow. And, if you look on the left side of the photo you can see a "Christmas Cactus".  15 mini trees with a combined total of 4,400 mini lights on them.  This year we started to add some LED's by putting blue and white LED's around the bottom windows.  It grows more every year!
