ShowTime Pro starter packages

We've put together some starter packages to help get your first computerized display up and going.  We recommend starting with our commercial grade light controllers called ShowTime Pros.

Each ShowTime Pro controller is encased in a metal enclosure designed for for durability and when mounted correctly, will provide a weatherproof environment to keep the control circuitry functioning in almost any typical outdoor environment.  We've heard rumors these things have survived run-ins with four wheeled drive vehicles and the only damage was suffered by the vehicle.  We do suggest common sense usage and keeping the cable access holes pointing down so the entire enclosure can shed the rain.  The pigtail outlets must be at least one foot off the ground. Keep the unit away from heavy splashing water and forced water flows such as from irrigation sprinklers. 

Commercial environments require electrical inspections and our ShowTime Pro series of controllers are manufactured and shipped with the UL508 certification.  Rest assured these controllers have passed rigorous safety tests.

Worried about electrical capacity?  Each ShowTime Pro lighting channel circuit can handle 10 amps of AC power.  The entire controller can switch a maximum of 15 to 30 amps depending on the configuration.  ShowTime Pro units plug directly into typical wall plugs and we recommend these be dedicated power circuits for large applications.  Our 30 amp units require two independent 15 amp power feeds.

Each ShowTime Pro controller can function independently, operate as the director unit in a multi-controller network or as an add-on unit of a larger synchronized network of controllers.  Each of the 8-16 independent channels have a number of special effects such as dimming, ramping, twinkle and shimmer.

Multiple ShowTime Pro controllers can be connected to the same Light-O-Rama data network.  See some examples of a typical network layout.  Each controller typically has a unique location code so it knows when to respond to commands.  More than 200 16 channel controllers can function on one giant Light-O-Rama data network giving you the ability to independently control 3,200 lighting channels.  If you need more, give us a call.

If you simple want to flash your light circuits in a repeating sequence, ShowTime Pro controllers have extra memory to store this information.  By using our ShowTime Software Suite, you can download the sequence to a master controller and it will handle performing the sequence on its own circuits plus any other controllers you might have connected to it.  Please note this does not work for sequencing your light circuit to music.

What else can you do with ShowTime Pro controllers?  By attaching one of our ShowTime Directors to the Light-O-Rama data network, you can have a stand-alone system of synchronized lights and music.
